A Message from the Principal

Leland offers a rigorous daily learning experience for all students in grades PreK - 8th. Leland is a STEM School that incorporates CPS S.T.E.M Curriculum for all K - 8th grade students in our beautiful S.T.E.M. Lab. Students create, observe, and analyze Science, Technology and Math connecting learning to real world problems and solutions. We also offer Digital Arts, Sports opportunities through CPS Score, Dance and Music to ensure that students are well rounded with multiple opportunities to explore, learn and grow. . Leland has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a School of Excellence and a Blue Ribbon School in 2004. Leland is a great place for student experiences where teachers and community supports all learners. We are a community school that offers multiple after school opportunities with Urban Initiative, BUILD, Inc, Project Exploration, and Big Brother Big Sisters of Chicago. There is something at Leland for all students! If you're looking for a great place where students can come to learn, participate in different activities in a warm safe creative environment, Leland S.T.EM. is the school for you.
