Each day, our goal is to inspire and motivate our students to become lifelong learners and compassionate contributors to their community and the world beyond. At MJES, we are committed to creating a nurturing environment that meets the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of every child. Through collaboration and partnership, our families, teachers, support staff, community members, and administration all play vital roles in helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we make a positive difference in the lives of our students. We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential to ensuring the success of every child. We encourage open communication between parents, teachers, and staff to foster these relationships and support our shared mission. The Mahalia Jackson staff is thrilled to work with each family and child to provide and maintain a safe, supportive, and effective learning environment. Our mission is to engage every student in rigorous, well-rounded instructional activities that promote critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning.
