A Message from the Principal

Gresham School of Excellence is a collaborative community where students achieve excellence in a positive environment.  We develop productive leaders by empowering the whole child emotionally, socially and academically.

Our mission is to provide a college and career bound culture that fosters student achievement through high expectations, rigorous instruction, collaborative partnerships with families and social emotional support. Welcome to Gresham School of Excellence and SY25! I am proud and passionate about continuing to serve our scholars, the Auburn Gresham Community and Partners. I look forward to this school year and am hopeful that this website provides you with relevant, timely, and useful information about the many exciting programs and events, to create a rich and vibrant learning experience for our scholars. Welcome Parents, community members and Partners, Over the past four years, our scholars have made tremendous academic gains, across all content areas. This school year we will continue our efforts to improve student achievement through implementing a high quality curriculum, acceleration and intentional tiered interventions. Our teachers will continue to receive instructional coaching and embed data cycles in their weekly professional development, to meet our students where they are and sustain academic growth. In addition, our scholars will continue to receive a well rounded educational experience with access to after school enrichment and activities, to ensure all students are college and career ready. Social emotional learning is another focus for us this school year. Our scholars will have voice and input on what their daily educational experience looks, sounds and feels like. Our scholars will engage daily in the second step tier one curriculum, which builds a foundation for a positive, inclusive culture through developing social-emotional competencies, which include perspective-taking, empathy, processing emotions, understanding and resolving conflicts, and building positive relationships. This is a critical part of our students' daily experience, as it teaches our scholars problem solving skills and how to successfully express their feelings. We highly encourage and expect parents and community members to be engaged in our school as partners in educating our scholars. Parents and community members have the opportunity to join our PAC and LSC yearly. Our PAC and LSC do an excellent job
