- Required: ILT members attend ILT Institutes to build the capacity of the team to lead a Professional Learning Plan and 4-10 week Learning Cycles that will the strengthen the elements of the framework above
- Suggested: The ILT has proper representation to lead curriculum implementation with special education, bilingual, and programmatic leads to center the work on critical priorities, and is tasked with setting implementation goals, designing an aligned professional learning strategy, and progress monitoring implementation
School-Based Learning Cycles
Leveraged to advance measurable & observable practice shifts
- Required: Schools advance their CIWP through a Professional Learning Plan that engages teachers in 4-10 week Learning Cycles with collaborative learning focused on measurable, observable, “bite-size” practice shifts
- Suggested: At least 75% of weekly grade level time is spent in 4-10 week Learning Cycles focused on measurable, observable, “bite-size” practice shifts designed to impact practice data (RW 2.0, Look For Tools) and experience data (Cultivate)
District-Provided Professional Learning
Attended by school leaders, coaches, teachers, and supporting educators (One Pager)
- Required: Year 1 Skyline-adopting teachers attend Skyline 101 and complete the five required Year 1 Essentials Badges
- Suggested: Newly adopting teachers attend district-provided Unit Internalizations and Skyline Sprint Sessions (One Pager and Sched Registration). Year 2+ adopting teachers participate in school-led, network-led, or district-led unit planning sessions and Sprint Sessions, and complete two suggested Badges
