Course Overview
This course covers key topics ranging from the indigenous roots of the world to current issues that affect the world today. The course aims to deepen students’ understanding of the formation of personal, local, national, and global identities. Each unit begins with a Case Study that connects world history topics to contemporary life. Students will examine regional geography (both human and physical), key economic and cultural developments including the major world religions, significant historical events that shaped the peoples and states of each region, and the encounters and interactions between cultures that influenced the development of human society.
