Key Stakeholders
The development of our Arts Education Plan is a collaborative effort involving various stakeholders. We have a dedicated team comprising educators, administrators, community members, and arts professionals who are deeply committed to enriching the educational experience of CPS students through the arts. This collective effort ensures that diverse perspectives are considered, and the plan is tailored to meet the needs of our diverse student population.
Leading
The Department of Arts Education will lead this work, and we’ve partnered with Civic Consulting Alliance who is providing pro-bono strategic planning services. Through CCA, we have also secured a pro-bono communications support through Zeno Group, and integrated communications agency.
Supporting
Zeno will support this plan with a communication strategy that we will present to our marketing team and communications team to mobilize the entire arts education community in support of this planning process.
Ingenuity is our most important partner in arts education advocacy, they are also supporting this work through data collection and reporting, convening our art partners and supporting the operations and logistics of this plan.
We are so grateful for these three organizations that are joining forces to envision a future of arts education at CPS.

Today, we want to acknowledge all members of these organizations, and highlight a historic collaboration that includes the CPAA: Principals & AP Union, Chicago Teacher Union alongside cultural organizations, state officials, and city officials

Interagency Advisory Council
As the highest-level inter-agency leaders and changemakers within the arts ecosystem of Chicago, the AIC will leverage their voice to:
- Support engagement leading up to the Plan development, including venue and facilitation support as needed and able
- Champion this Plan and the value of the arts within your own organization and with external stakeholders, including funders
- Implementing and embodying the recommendations set forth in the Plan In order to fulfill this charge as members of the IAC, we also ask that they:
- Attend all meetings, and sending a representative in your place if needed
- Engage with pre-read materials

As cultural institution leaders, these organizations are charged to:
- Engage through multiple entry points: focus groups, roundtables, surveys, etc.
- Support engagement leading up to the Plan development, including venue and facilitation support as needed and able
- Champion this Plan and the value of the arts within your own organization and with external stakeholders, including funders
- Identify renowned artists to serve as Creative Advisors to the Plan
As cultural institution leaders within the arts ecosystem of Chicago, the leaders of these organizations are charged with leveraging their voices and influence to:
- Champion the CPS Arts Education Plan 2.0 and the value of the arts within their organization and with external stakeholders, including funders.
- Implement and embody the recommendations outlined in the Plan
