Help Shape Our Return to Daily In-Person Learning
04 June 2021
We need feedback from our families to help shape what the new school year and a return to daily, in-person learning will look like this fall.
Our school year is winding down, but planning is already well underway for the fall, and we need feedback from our families to help shape what the new school year will look like.
Please take a few minutes to complete the Fall 2021 Survey at cps.edu/FamilySurvey (available in Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Polish, Urdu, and Arabic) by Friday, June 18. This survey:
- is your chance to share your feedback as the district prepares for the return of daily in-person instruction in the fall.
- will help the district understand what we can do to ensure you and your family feel comfortable when the school year begins
- will tell us how you prefer to receive updates this summer as fall planning continues.
Completing this survey WILL NOT indicate if your family is opting in or out of in-person learning for the fall. While nearly all students will attend school in person, CPS is working on a virtual option for those children who cannot return due to medical reasons. More information on this plan will be shared with our families in the near future.
You can learn more about the health and safety measures we followed during our return to school this year on our reopening website. Follow this blog for information about the plans and resources the district already has in place to support students during a return to daily instruction — including our 2021-22 school budgets, which will provide an additional $225 million in funding for schools and are the first set of investments the district will make to help heal from the impacts of COVID-19 and provide daily, in-person instruction this fall.
Thank you for taking the time to complete our Fall 2021 Survey; your input is essential in ensuring we provide the support you need for a successful school year ahead.
