Highlighting Health and Wellness: Ways to Stay Actively Learning While at Home

Over the course of a regular school day, our students have many different ways to stay physically active, grow socially and emotionally, and focus on their mental health. Now that living rooms have become classrooms and bedrooms have become playgrounds, we know that our students are missing everything from spending time with their friends at recess to having one-on-one conversations about their day with their favorite teacher. We encourage you to take advantage of the resources below to help your student incorporate social and emotional learning, healthy eating, and physical wellness back into their school day. While it’s especially important to take care of ourselves during this time, we hope you keep thinking about engagement and share the resources that are working for you with other members of your school community. Before you know it, our students will be having fun on the playground with their friends once more.

Physical Activity

  • Action for Healthy Kids: Resources tailored specifically for healthy activities at home.
