Program Overview
CPS implemented a district-wide Healthy Vending Machine Program in compliance with the United States Department of Agriculture’s Smart Snacks program and the District’s Local School Wellness Policy for Students. The partners selected to provide exclusive vending services to all CPS buildings as well as to all schools whose food service operations are managed by the District are PepsiCo (beverage vending machines) and Global Vending Service (snack vending machines).
General inquiries regarding the vending program may be directed to NSS and OSHW at food@cps.edu.
While participation in the vending machine program is voluntary, all schools who participate in the CPS Meal Program must use the above District-approved vendors to operate its vending machine program.
