Summer Meals and LunchStop Program

All Chicago children between 1 and 18 years old are eligible to receive free meals at LunchStop sites or at any school where summer programs take place.

Summer meal service has ended. Visit cps.edu/food to view breakfast and lunch menus for your school for the 2024-25 academic year.

Summer Meal Sites

CPS offers free meals during summer break for all children up to the age of 18. ID is not required but children must be present and meals must be consumed onsite. Summer meals are offered at two types of locations:

  • LunchStop sites serve free lunch outdoors at select schools across Chicago. The summer LunchStop schedule is Monday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. between June 24 and August 9.
  • In-school meal sites serve free meals at every school that is open for summer programs. At these locations, meals are served indoors at varying times. View a location on the map for details.

For questions about summer meals, call (800) 359-2163 or text FOOD or COMIDA to 304-304.
