Districtwide Arts Programs
An arts education can have a powerful impact on young minds and spark a lifelong interest in the arts. CPS offers free performing and visual arts programs, including All-City Performing Arts, All-City Visual Arts exhibitions (elementary and high school), and All-City Music Festivals. Math Circles
Students in grades 5 through 12 can explore math on a deeper level outside the classroom at no cost. Math circles are a noncompetitive group activity that focuses on math concepts not covered in the standard school curriculum.

Curiosity Classrooms
Curiosity Classrooms are an innovative learning environment meant to provide pre-k through second-grade students with sensory-rich, hands-on learning experiences. Through the support and partnership of the Chicago Children’s Museum, Curiosity Classrooms directly enhance the STEAM concepts that students are learning.

Summer Book Club
The Art of Reading Summer Book Club is designed to keep PK-2 students engaged and excited about reading throughout the summer. Our book club combines reading with art to inspire your child’s creativity and self-expression as they continue to develop their love of reading and writing over the summer.
